Northland Area Church Plant Interest Meetings - Sun, Sept 12 or 26 | 1-3pm | Room 102
Pastor Richard and Shalla Johnson are setting out this fall to plant Sanctuary Columbus Church, a Northland Area Church Plant. This vision has been taking shape for the past seven years beginning with their move from Virginia to be a part of Heritage to prepare for pastoral leadership. Imagine a place where ones can find God in multiethnic community; that is the dream of Sanctuary Columbus Church. If you are interested in how you can be a part of the launch team, serve in a supportive role for one year or give financially to this new work then plan to attend a detailed interest meetings. YWCA Family Shelter Breakfast - third Saturday of each month
Prepare and serve breakfast for families in housing crisis. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to serve since children are welcome with parents. For more information or to sign up to serve, please contact Tracie Bayer
BetterWay Ministries - second Friday of each month
Better Way is an inner city ministry serving the needs of the poor in the Short North. Heritage provides a monthly meal and fellowship the second Friday of each month. Volunteers prepare and serve meals to approximately 100 people and lead a time of spiritual community through singing and testimony. To serve at BetterWay contact: Sam Fung, Team Leader
Sterling House - second and third Sunday of each month
Worship service and visiting time with residents of an assisted living facility. An emphasis is placed on developing friendships and spiritual support for the elderly being served. All are welcome. Email John & Lorene Leis or call 614.882.0943.
Project Compassion Coffee & Conversation Support Group - 2nd Thursday of each month
The Coffee & Converstaion Support Group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month during the school year. There is a home-cooked meal, a devotional message and time to talk with each other. HCC volunteer coordinator email: Mike Durand. website: http://www.projectcompassion.us
Soma! Tutoring - weekly
Heritage has begun tutoring second graders at Linden STEM Academy in a one-on-one format. Volunteers are asked to commit one hour a week for the school year. Must be able to read! Contact volunteer coordinator Dana Fritts
International Friendships Inc. (IFI) - one hour/week

Worship at Marion Prison - last Friday of each month | 6pm-8pm
A unique opportunity for adult men and women to praise our Lord with believers inside Marion Correctional Institution. Partner with Promise Keepers to minister to a group society often scorns and neglects. Pre-registration is required. Contact Local Missions at least 1 week in advance to request a gate pass and receive necessary information.
