Support Groups at Heritage
People are broken in relationships when they are sinned against and cause brokenness in others by responding sinfully to their own brokenness. People grow toward wholeness in Christ in redemptive communities as they experience God’s grace applied by others who are being restored in right relationship with God and his children in the body of Christ. It is also in community that the believer can be ministered to through the gifts of the Spirit as they are distributed among and administered by those whom the Spirit empowers.
The process of restoration, wholeness and healing then is not the preserve of Pastor or Counselor but rather the result of the body functioning as the heart and hands of Christ responding to God’s initiative. To facilitate that at Heritage, Support Groups attempt to make better use of the various means of grace available through the Ministries at Heritage. Simply stated, the Church will be released to be the Church, with God’s grace being ministered very specifically by those whom He has called and we have trained. The body, Christ Incarnate, touching, healing, restoring.

DivorceCare
DivorceCare offers groups for women, men, teens, and children who desire help for the painful effects of divorce or separation. DivorceCare is non-denominational and features biblical teaching with videos of nationally recognized experts on divorce.
GriefShare
GriefShare, “A Journey from Mourning to Joy” is a group for adults who have ever lost a love one. It is a thirteen-week Bible based video series featuring nationally known Christian leaders and others sharing their personal experience of finding joy in life after such great loss.
H.E.A.R.T.
H.E.A.R.T. (Healing Effects Abortion Related Trauma) is a 7 week workshop/support group designed to assist women and men dealing with the pain associated with the trauma of post-abortion Syndrome (PAS). This group helps to guide each person through the specific steps of forgiveness, emotional healing and restoration. It is facilitated by a leader trained through Pregnancy Decision Health Center and is supported by the Care Ministry at Heritage. Participation in the group requires an intake appointment. Celebrate Recovery
A Christ centered program following the eight principles of recovery found in the Beatitudes and the twelve steps along with their Biblical comparisons. By working and applying these Biblical principles one can begin to grow spiritually and become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. As we progress through the program, we embrace our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power ~ Jesus Christ!

- Freedom From Depression-10 week group that is lead by a Professional Counselor using a workbook and group discussions.
- Adoption-for those considering or going through the adoption process.
- Care Givers-available resources for those caring long-term for another either due to illness or age.
