2009 Middle School Lock-In

The middle school event of the year is finally here!The 2009 Middle School Lock In will be held Friday January 16th from 7pm to Saturday morning at 7am.
Last year we had over 250 middle school students participate in a night of inflatables, obstacle courses, video game tournaments, movies, music, food and an all girls spa! This was a great event that kept middle school students talking for weeks!
This years event plans to be just as big and just as fun! So, invite your friends, register online and download the information packet below for more information!

from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
for an informational meeting regarding upcoming student ministry events.

Additonally, there will be no middle school weekend classes this upcoming weekend Dec. 27-28th.
Finally, Encounter starts up again January 7th from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Food Drive Results

At Encounter last week, students packed into vans and headed out to ask for donations to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). In essentially 45-60 minutes of being out in the community, around sixty middle school students collected over 700 items weighing over 800 pounds that were donated to the WARM. It was an awesome way for students to bless the community! To get more info about WARM click here.
Christmas Party and Dec. Schedule
Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 11:03AM December is a time when the whole church backs off programming during the week (weekend classes will still be running), so that family’s can take the time to just be together as we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior. So there is no Encounter next week because it is the day before Thanksgivng or any of the Wednesdays in December, except for the Christmas Party.
We will still have a Christmas Party with lots of food, games, and fun! The Christmas party will take place on Wednesday, December 17th in the auditorium, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. You will not want to miss our one gathering in December, so come out and invite a friend!
Regular Encounter will resume on January 7th…and there will be an web article next week on this, but the annual Middle School Lock-in will take place on Friday January 16th from 7 p.m.-7 a.m….so mark your calender for this big event.
WARM Food Drive

Every year in November, middle school students take one night to pass on their time at church to be the church in the community.
Next Wednesday, November 19th, during regular Encounter time (6:30-8:00 p.m.) middle school students will be driven out by parent and adult leaders to collect food products in the local community to give to Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). WARM is a local organization that prides itself on providing a hand up, rather than a hand out.
The Holiday season is coming up and it is always cool to see middle school students lend a helping hand! Please e-mail Lauren Lewis, llewis@heritagecc.org, if you are interested in driving for this night. And make sure your students are not late as we will be leaving the church by 7 p.m.
