Welcome to the Middle School Student Ministry at Heritage. Our hope is to create environments where students can experience God’s unconditional love, experience true community with peers, and be discipled by parents and older adults. We are prayerfully planning events to inform and equip students, parents, and volunteers.
We hope the information on this page will direct you to a place where parents and students can begin their faith journey as a Christ-follower. Our hope is that students will surrender their lives to Christ, listen daily to the Holy Spirit, and influence others to accept the gift of God’s grace. If you have a desire to impact students for Christ, we have many volunteer opportunities in both the middle and high school ministries. Middle School Ministry
Encounter God, Encourage Believers, Engage the World
On the Weekend:
Saturday (5p & 7p)
During both services a middle school class is available to all ages in Room 110. This class is taught by volunteers who have a heart to help middle school students grow in their faith. The evening classes consist of some interactive large group games. Afterwards we discuss God’s word, dive deep into small groups and hang out at then end.
Sundays (9a & 11a)
During both services a middle school class is available to all ages in room 110. The morning classes usually consist of some interactive large group games. Afterwards we discuss God’s word, dive deep into small groups and hang out at then end.
*If a student has a Bible, please have him or her bring it to class.
During the Week:
Wednesday | 6:30p-8p | Main Auditorium
Our Wednesday night is designed for students who are new to church and for those who have grown up in the church. In this space we have exciting music videos, engaging games/activities, a relevant middle school message, and interactive small groups. Small groups are lead by parents and volunteers and provide a time for group discussion, prayer, and relational building. WARNING: Due to extreme fun, we encourage all students and volunteers to wear gym clothes:-)
Volunteer Opportunities
For Adults
If you would like to volunteer in the middle school ministry, there are many spaces to minister to students on the weekend and during the week.
Weekend Classes: Assistant, Activities Coordinator, and Small Group Leader
Wednesday: Games Coordinator, Small Group Leader
To volunteer in the student ministry all volunteers need to turn in a completed volunteer application and background check form. You can give these forms to anyone on the Student Ministry team or put them in an envelope marked Student Ministry and drop it in the offering basket.
For Middle School Students
Team Timothy: This ministry provides service opportunities for all middle school students during weekend services, namely: Children’s Ministry Volunteer, AV Operator, Greeter, Welcome Desk Helper and more. To become part of the team students must register, attend all sessions, and meet the necessary requirements. See the “Events” page for upcoming training sessions.
