New Facility Hours & Entrance

As we continually strive to create a more welcoming and safe environment here at Heritage, we are taking some new steps beginning Monday, December 1. Our hope is to be more hospitable to our guests and also provide a higher level of security for all who use the facility throughout the week, especially our children. Additional steps will be taken in the future, but starting December 1, here’s what you can expect:

On Becoming A Liturgical Church

From Pastor Jim’s latest E-Letter:

After two months of teaching on worship, I think I can offer some perspective on where we’re “headed”; toward becoming a “liturgical” church.

Now for some that statement quickly brings a specific picture to mind…maybe even some “smells and bells.” For others, the idea of becoming liturgical sounds like becoming mechanical or outdated. Neither idea is what I have in mind, nor are they what I believe the Scriptures depict when it speaks of our worship being liturgical.

Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship (NASB).

Operation Christmas Child Update

 
A special “Thank you!” to everyone who participated in this year’s Operation Christmas Child. We collected over 300 shoeboxes filled with gifts for little girls and boys! The churches of central Ohio all rallied together and donated over 30,000 shoeboxes of gifts! Way to go, Church!
