Welcome to Global Missions at Heritage Christian Church. Feel free to look over the information below to find out about our vision and philosophy for missions, our international missions or how you can get involved.
At Heritage we believe we have been blessed to be a blessing. - the Global Missions Team

Missions Vision Statement
Blessing people in our community, across the country, and around the globe, to bring them into a personal relationship with Jesus and to build them to be dedicated followers, all to the glory of God.

Our Strategy

We seek to work where the need is great, the workers are few, and God’s call is certain. We seek to make a significant contribution, investing our time, talents, treasure, and our lives. We partner with others to present the complete transforming blessing of God’s Kingdom.

The Radical Experiment
If you desire to join in the Radical Experiment here are some helpful links and connections to help you on this journey.

1. Pray for the entire world - A great resource is Operation World by Jason Mandryk.  The Global Missions booth has copies for sale for $15.
2. Read through the entire Word - Read through the Bible online at The One Year Bible Online.  Available at the mission’s booth is a newly published companion to The One Year Bible is called What Now? by Kristopher K. You can buy either of these at the Global Missions booth.  The book What Now? will be $10 and the journal will be $5. They are also available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble.com and the iBookstore.
3. Sacrifice financially for a specific purpose - Give to Missions. Support a Heritage missionary, short term trips 2012 or Somali Bantu Partnership. If you need help getting connected contact Suzi Ware.

International Ministries

Central Asia
Heritage is actively involved with several long-term development teams working to plant indigenous churches among unreached people.  In 2011 we support two families in Central Asia.  We also started supporting the work of several indigenous workers.  More info on all the workers can be found on the map wall in the mission’s wing.

East & Southeast Asia
We have a long-term medical doctor working in East Asia.  They are in a facility that operates a clinic, trains interns, assists children in foster care and works with a local orphanage. There also has been workers sent to the southern region of Asia along with partnering with indigenous workers.

After the devastating hurricane in 2004, Heritage has partnered with Lanka Bible College in Sri Lanka to provide training and financial support in an on-going relationship.

We are invested in workers in Southeast Asia.  They are working in their communities reaching out to locals.

Africa
We have a long-term worker to North Africa and we have pursued short-term opportunities to the region. We also assist Kjabe Aids Medical Clinic in Kenya.

Latin America
Since 2002 Heritage has sent several short-term mission teams to Honduras.  Their focus has been ministry to the poor, medical missions, community development, and evangelism. We also partner with local churches, Oasis de Amor orphanage and Casa Hogar VIDA in Choluteca, Honduras.

Opportunity for Hope is a micro-lending, nonprofit organization endevoring to address spiritual and material needs for people in the underprivileged areas of the world.  For information on (O4H) visit http://www.opportunityforhope.org/
updates on Honduras see http://gclafoundation.wordpress.com/ and http://www.casahogarvida.blogspot.com/

Heritage partners with a local church in La Libertad, El Salvador.  Short-term mission teams have ministered to the community through outreach and service opportunities over the years.

Heritage is partnering with a deaf community and school in Peru.  This is a new outreach for us, but has been proven fruitful. We have had short-term teams go down to assist with the many needs.

After having sent a team in June 2010 to asses the needs and bring aid, Heritage hopes to continue ministering to the people of Haiti.

Local Cross-Cultural Opportunities

The Somali Bantu Community
Heritage has a new partnership this year. The Somali Bantu Partnership have invited us to help them assimilate to life here in the U.S. through building cross-cultural relationships. See the journal entry for more info.
