It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.  -Paul to the Ephesians

The Equipping Ministry exists to build up the body of Christ at Heritage “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” We recognize that this is a huge undertaking—one that will never be fully accomplished—and can only be pursued in the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we partner with God in his transformational work in the lives of the individuals, families, and of the whole congregation that worships here. This is how we do that:

e4 is our primary equipping process for establishing the foundations of our faith at Heritage. It is a 9-month, intensive course comprised of 3 tracks: text, context, and soul. It is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the most important elements of Christian faith and practice. The e4 program is open to all Participating Members of the church. To navigate to the e4 journal, please click here.

Alpha is a ten-week course designed to introduce you to the basics of Christianity. If you have recently become a Christian, or if you have not yet decided to follow Jesus but you’re curious about who he is, Alpha is the best place for you to start. It is a no-pressure, safe environment to explore your questions about God, the Bible, Jesus, and the Church.

The e4.core classes are designed to provide a historical, orthodox context for your life with God. The classes are four weeks long, and will be offered at various times throughout the year on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. We encourage you to take a class with your life group, as this will provide the most natural context for learning and discussion.

The e4.next classes are designed to build upon what was learned in the e4.core classes, and then take you deeper into Scripture, theology, culture, and Christian discipleship. We encourage you to take these classes with your life group.

LC is the gathering of the Leadership Community of Heritage. There are four themes we address at LC: Loving People; Walking with God; Character; Ministry-Specific Equipping. LC is open to those Participating Members who have been invited to attend by their ministry leaders.
