PASTOR/DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP ARTS

Heritage Christian Church is currently accepting applications for the position of Worship Arts Pastor/Director. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• A mature, growing disciple of Jesus Christ.
• Possess an intuitive passion for worship.
• Minimum of a BA/BS in music; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a diversified church worship arts program, with 5 years in a director/pastor position.
• Experience working in a large church (1500+) with multiple services.
• Possess above average musical and artistic abilities.
• Possess a broad knowledge base of theology of worship, worship styles, and practical implementation of worship ministry.
• Confirmed ability to effectively lead worship.
• Understand and appreciate a broad range of musical and artistic expression(s).
• Have a desire for mentoring and developing worship/arts leadership and artistic gifts in others. Promotion of others rather than self.
• Possess superior communication skills and the ability to resolve conflict.
• Ability to read music and understand and edit orchestral, vocal, and band scores and/or chord charts.
• Experience rehearsing and directing choirs, ensembles, orchestra and worship bands.
• Understanding of and the ability to facilitate a seamless flow of service.
• Understanding of technical production (sound, lighting, video, graphics, internet).
• Have demonstrated experience in managing people, teams, and processes.
• Team player. Ability to work with other significant staff and lay leaders in implementation of worship services.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Healthy personal and family life.
