Friday, September 26, 2008 at 01:33PM I recommended Wayne Grudem’s “Systematic Theology” as a good single-volume systematic theology reference for e4, if you recall.
We’ve decided to buy a copy for each participant/family unit in e4, and will get it to you soon.
If you’ve already purchased a copy, or already own one, let April know and we’ll get you a different resource.
Friday, September 26, 2008 at 01:28PM We’ve decided to move the Soul track sessions back one month, and add a session on Dec 2 to catch up. So - “Spiritual Formation & Spiritual Disciplines” will be on October 21, “Spiritual Discipline: Word” will be on November 18, and “Spiritual Discipline: Prayer” will be on December 2.
I do apologize to those of you that this decision inconveniences. There were good reasons for several of the options, and distinct difficulties with each.

Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:54AM Well… this was really hard to do, to pick a short list of recommended commentaries and references. Ideally, you’d read several different books on any one subject, so you get a wide perspective on the interpretive range. But - as the good book tells us, “Be warned, my son… Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.”
And so, here’s a short list of useful commentaries & references.
Friday, September 19, 2008 at 08:19AM 2 hours a week is not a lot of time to get to know one another. We would like to use this forum as a place for you to talk about yourself to everybody else in the e4 program. What should we know about you? Where are you from? How long have you loved Jesus? What do you sense God is calling you to do? From what has he brought you? How has he healed you? What is your favorite color? There are thousands of questions, but only you can provide the answers that help us to know you better! If you are an e4 participant, we invite you to talk about yourself here. (And seriously, who doesn’t love talking about themselves?)
