The Begin Again Experience
The heart of God is restoration. He is the restorer of souls and the healer of hearts. His delight is to take something that is broken and make it whole again. In His hands, impossible situations are made possible. Couples in crisis who come to Begin Again will meet Crisis Survivors who have encountered this God of restoration. We are the broken who are finding wholeness in Him. We have learned how to begin again and would love to share that with you.
Begin Again is a small group that meets weekly. Our sessions typically run for 14 to 16 weeks depending on the group. You will hear our stories – powerful and emotional testimonies to the faithfulness of our Lord. You will also hear insightful teachings and experience practical hands-on applications. There will be breakout sessions where the men and women meet in separate groups. There will be times of deep sharing and prayer. We will explore and process the themes of repentance, forgiveness, ownership, trust, truth and sacrificial love. We will be there to walk with you as you work through the difficult issues surrounding these themes.
It is important to understand that we are not professional counselors. We are just regular people whose marriages have been broken by sin and redeemed by grace. Through training and practical experience, we have been equipped to walk with others who are experiencing marital crisis. We are not there to preach down to you, but to come along side, offering understanding and encouragement. While we may not have experienced your exact circumstances, we know and understand the pain of marital crisis.
It is our prayer that God will use Begin Again to provide a safe place for hurting couples to find the understanding and the help they so desperately need, but often do not know how to ask for. Our goal is to provide an open, honest environment where it’s ok to be real. A place to be held accountable, but not judged. Most importantly, a place where couples find the safety they need to express and surrender their pain to Christ and invite Him to be Lord of their marriage. Couples in crisis who come to Begin Again can find hope that healing and restoration is possible - even for them.
